Pure hemp oil is unsuitable as fuel for engines adapted to pure plant oil use but might improve low-temperature behaviour when admixed to rapeseed oil fuel. However, use in fuels can only be economiccally viable for hemp oil when it can’t be sold at a market price. nova-Institut and TFZ Straubing have published the first technical and economical analysis worldwide on this topic.
